In August, we bid a fond farewell to Xian (Lily) Li, postdoctoral fellow, in the Core for two years, who returned to China. She worked tirelessly to provide histology and immunohistology services to our users, particularly during the 2020 pandemic. We hope she can return to the Core in a few years.
We also welcomed Eric Elmadani as our new histotechnician, who has returned to the Department of Pathology after training as a histotechnician in UF Path Labs and Department of Dermatology, College of Medicine, for several years. He works in Lily’s former area in D11-41 and has “hit the ground running” in his first days onboard.
